Firefly Mk 2 ArcMarkers enable an arc-of-fire to be marked clearly and quickly in daylight, dusk and in darkness. Utilising a low-output trigalight installed in a shrouded slot to maintain security, the Mk2 ArcMarker also includes a yellow panel to give visibility in day and dusk conditions. Offering great flexibility, applications include trench marking, safe-lane or hazard marking and they can even be used as a model or map-pointer.
Construction of the Mk2 ArcMarker enclosure provides enhanced strength and durability. Also new is a substantial hook, moulded into the top of the unit for enhanced utility. The Mk2 ArcMarker incorporates a green, low output trigalight (3x15mm) for increased viewing distance in darkness. Should shielding of the lamp be required, the lamp slot can be partially taped over until the preferred output is achieved.
These units are supplied in blister-packaged pairs. Firefly Mk2 ArcMarkers are available in black and desert sand enclosure colour options.
Utilising the Plastimo IRIS 50 hand-bearing compass sealed cell, this self-illuminating prismatic compass is a highly effective tool for night, day and dusk navigation. Available with a mils and degrees calibration options, geographic zoning and external casing styles, each compass can be customized to develop the optimum solution. Illumination is provided by trigalights, fixed securely within the unit to illuminate the graduations on both horizontal and prismatic planes. Trigalights are laser sealed borosilicate glass vials which are internally coated with phosphor injected with gaseous tritium (this is the special stuff) which reacts with the phosphor to create a cold energy which produces a low level light source with no filaments or heat dissipation and no risk of fire or explosion.
They are unaffected by water, oil and most corrosive materials and require no external power source or exposure to light, remaining fail-safe and maintenance free with a lifetime in excess of 10-20 years.
Because they are so small, they are ideal for gluing or sticking onto Military equipment, Fishing rods, bite indicators and other equipment that does not usually have an isotope slot.

How Does it Work? trigalight works similar to a CRT tube, formerly used in TV screens. Like TV CRT tubes, our lights are built using a glass housing, a gas proof glass containment. The inner walls of this glass vessel are coated with a very thin layer of phosphorescent powder. This powder (zinc sulphide) has the ability to change electrical energy into light. The electric energy in case of the trigalight is generated by the tritium gas, a low radiation beta emitter. While decaying, the tritium looses its electrons. When such an electron hits the layer, it is captured and transformed into light.
The colours of our trigalights are therefore not dependent on the gas filled in, but on the coating, which can be varied. Here his a list of colours available in our order of perceivedBrightness
A Vega Light-Pull is simply a combination of elegance and practicality, aimed at enhancing safety in the home. An attractive crystal enclosure is equipped with a trigalight gaseous tritium light source, making it visible in darkness. A high quality stainless steel top-piece enables a cord or chain to be installed easily and quickly.
Each Vega can be fitted with one of a choice of nine colours... green, yellow, orange, red, UV-blue, white, purple, pink or ice-blue. Trigalight colour is selected during the purchase process and the unit is then assembled to order.
There is also a choice of styling of the top-piece... you may choose a "bell", "cone" or "dome" shape for your Vega. Each is a solid, polished assembly comprising a base and a cap. Removing the cap enables the cord to be released / attached and is a very quick and easy process. A connecting chain (with anchors) is included with each Vega.
