What is Tactel?
Soft, light and surprisingly strong. A dynamic, speciality fibre, Tactel garments are soft, supple, smooth, breathable and lightweight. According to testing Tactel fibre is at least twice as soft and 20% lighter than most other fibres. It also dries 8 times faster than cotton. With its soft feel, moisture wicking and quick drying properties this yarn is the perfect yarn to line our socks helping to keep the feet cool and dry during activity.
Merino Wool:This product contains Merino Wool: Merino wool is one of softest types of wool available and is perfect for regulating body temperature. The wool provides warmth without overheating the wearer and its moisture wicking properties combined with being slightly moisture repellent allow the wearer to remain dry.

The 1000 Mile Trek Sock is designed as a light walking sock that provides maximum comfort and support, whatever your activity.
The padded heel extends to protect the achilles tendon. Additional padded zones on the toes and ball of foot provide extra comfort.
Weve specifically selected a Merino wool blend which makes the socks super soft and helps to reduce friction on the skin without it being too thick. Known for its moisture wicking properties, the merino wool yarn will help to wick away sweat from the skin to help keep the feet feeling cool and dry. The added bonus is that it will also dry quicker after washing. The natural anti-bacterial qualities from the merino wool helps to keep the feet feeling fresh on those longer distances.
The ventilation zones on the top of the foot enables air flow and allows the foot to breathe. This can help keep the feet cooler for longer.
Arch bracing gives additional support and a custom fit.
The flat toe seam prevents irritation from the sock along the top of the toes, eliminating friction in this area.
